Senior Portraits Twins Jon and Addison

The bond of twins is such a unique experience.  There's often a push pull in constant competition with one another.  There's a very real craving for the presence of the one who has known you even before you drew your first breath.  Then there's the push to create your own identity apart from being a twin as you figure out who you are as an individual.

The relationship between Jon and Addison is like that of many twins re that push pull.  It's a lovely dance of constantly figuring out if this is the time to lean in or pull away.

Jon and Addison are both fun and outgoing personalities.  Addison described Jon as one of kids you see in the hallway you might feel a little bit intimidated by because of their nonchalant, cool aura.  I can see that about him.  He carries himself with a quiet strength.  Addison knows he's got a big heart that makes her smile!

Jon's training to follow in his dad's footsteps as an electrician.  The mystery of circuitry intrigues him.  He'll spend 5 years in journeyman school to sit for the state licensing test to be a certified electrician.

Addison is a singer.  And by singer, I mean if she's not in conversation with you, she's likely singing.  Of course this drives Jon crazy at times, but from everything I can see about Addison, this is not a conscious choice.  The music is inside her and has to be brought forth.  (I can deeply relate, except for the fact that she's a very talented singer...that part eludes me).

As we progressed through set ups, I simply cannot remember a time when Addison was not singing to herself in between set exchanges.  She's a great lover of nature and the peace that accompanies her time when hiking.  I cannot help but see Snow White singing to the woodland creatures when I think of Addison.

Leading into the portrait time, torrential rain was expected.  Typically even on rainy days, we find a patch of no rain to get outside for portraits.  However, this was a torrential all day and Jon knew he wouldn't be able to bring out his dad's beloved Grand National.  So we rescheduled to the next day and had beautiful weather!

Jon and Addison, you were a delight to create for and with!  Your sweet bond of deep friendship is something that will be a blessing to you throughout your whole life.  May you always look out for one another and laugh mightily together!
