When I met the Conliffe's during their planning consultation, I left our time together thinking, "oh the places you'll go." After creating with them, I thought how this world is a better place when love flourishes like it does in this family!

Mario was born and raised in the Bahamas. His system must certainly have had the temperature shock of a lifetime transitioning to Wisconsin for his graduate studies in 2004 He finished his doctoral studies at Loyola, which his island blood must have thanked him for!

Melissa was born in Trinidad and came to live in the Baltimore area when she was 14 years old. She was eyes on the prize for her life long dream of becoming a nurse. Today Melissa is a psychiatric nurse practitioner. She's been a nurse for 16 years and continues to stack up degrees along the way.

These two love birds met during the pandemic and their love story ensued. They blended their beautiful families together to create a space where love thrives. Mario is a priest at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal's church. It was a profession he didn't see coming, but those closest to him did. His discernment and shepherding make him a vessel in the hands of God to bless His Body of Christ.

There's plenty of jumping around and play involved to create family portraits that will always take Mario and Melissa back to this precious and fleeting time. When their son climbed between his mama and daddy while we created portraits celebrating their love, we all cracked up. Toddlers keep us on our toes while creating and create the most hilarious additions to the portrait time! The girls were so patient and encouraging with their little brother through all of our antics to lock down this precious gallery! What a delight this sweet family was to create for.
