Just one of the many awesome things about Spotify is how it has connected the generations via music. It's not uncommon for a JDP senior to play 80s and 90s rock during their portrait creation time. JDP senior Kyle is one of those seniors whose musical tastes span the decades. What a cool bonding experience this has allowed for between teens and their parents! Kyle's interested in 80's-90's rock, city pop, and jazz fusion. He's played the violin since he was 5 years old, but sadly after the band teacher he adored left after 20 years and Coffee Music closed it marked the end of his musical training. Although he has his eye on learning guitar in the future.
Kyle is an academic kid who has been raised around the brilliant minds of his very academic family. It's no surprise Kyle is studying in the bio-medical program at Career Tech. Gone are the days of the extent of medical training in high school being dissecting a frog. Nope, his program is studying how medications are interacting in the body, DNA synthesis, copying, splicing and putting back together again!
Kyle's program even has a anatomage table! In case you were wondering just what that very expensive piece of equipment is: The Anatomage Table is "an advanced, touch-screen 3D anatomy visualization and virtual dissection tool that allows users to explore, dissect, and visualize real human and animal bodies digitally. It acts as a full-size, interactive, and "virtual cadaver," enabling users to slice, rotate, and examine body structures (bones, organs, muscles, and nervous systems) in precise, life-size 3D, enhancing medical education by replacing or supplementing traditional wet cadaver labs."
Kyle is hopeful to attend Villa Nova or Loyola to study a combo of nursing and medicine. He's already had a taste of college life from attending a 4 week summer program at Franklin and Marshall to study biology.
Years ago we created family portraits for Kyle's family and their beloved rescue dog Kiera was a part of the session. Sadly, Keira has passed away but a new member was added to the family just a few months ago. Hitch is about 5 years old and a rescue as well. Hitch adores his people and has found his forever home!
Kyle's dad is English and a lover of soccer, which has strongly influences his love for the game as well. The family are Sunderland fans who celebrated big when, after 12 years as a dark horse, it was promoted to the premier league.
Kyle has been coached by his dad and now refs along side him as well. They've completed a week long hike called Boundary Waters that involved hiking and canoeing with just what you could carry along the borders of Minnesota and Canada. They caught their food and spotted moose and bear along their journey. Most importantly, they made life long memories that have clearly knit this family close!
