About 10 years ago I met a beautiful women who came for an Unveil your Cinderella portrait time. She wanted to create a surprise anniversary gift for her husband. Fast forward the dial and that same women, Laura, brought me her powerhouse highschool senior daughter Liv. She wanted Liv to have the same JDP experience she had had.

Liv is a young woman who brings her A game to wherever she invests her energies. This translates to her not being afraid when coaches started showing up to watch her play lacrosse her junior year. Rather than panic, she was energized knowing this was the firs step to her next steps in the game she loved.

Liv plays lacrosse for Winters Mill and club teams. She's played field hockey and soccer in the past as well. Her mom played lacrosse for Salisbury and has coached Liv throughout her entire athletic life. These two share a sweet bond that's been forged on the fields.

Liv is committed to play lacrosse for Palm Beach Atlantic University and couldn't be more thrilled about that! I mean, going to school in West Palm Beach! This beach girl is going to be in her element! The only catch in her plan came during the last lacrosse game of the season. Devastatingly, she tore her ACL and meniscus. She was on crutches for 8 weeks. Sadly, there are two other girls on her team who have suffered the same injury. Hopefully the grass fields she'll be playing on in Florida will reduce the chances of re-injury.

Liv has been working ferociously during her PT to get herself back up to speed. The memories she's made on the field have been invaluable to her and she's so eager for her senior year lacrosse season. However, there is debate about whether she should sit it out to give her body time to continue to heal. There's strong evidence that suggests the likelihood of re-injury goes down dramatically if there's a year break after the initial injury. These stats do not alleviate the devastation attached to even considering letting go of the senior season for the sports that's given so much to Liv.

Liv cannot imagine not playing her senior year season. Just the though of this makes her emotional. We are praying your path becomes abundantly clear to you as you navigate the choices you have before you Liv! Liv is growing in her walk of faith to follow the Lord. May He make your paths straight!

The above inspiration was from Liv's mom's session 10 years ago. Liv has seen her mom smile at her portrait over all these years and wanted to create something similar for herself. Love this for them...just imagine one day Liv's own daughter wanting to do the same thing and Laura smiling broadly in her retirement years!
