At our planning consultation meeting, Liam expressed an interest in Coast Guard Academy. I was curious where the desire for this came from. He wanted to ensure he was employable after graduation. He's so observant to forecast that far ahead and clearly seeing the issues that so many recent graduates are having in securing their employment. He can't imagine that frustration of investing so much for no pay off at the end.

Liam wanted to bring his German 'Shedder' Atticus to his portrait time. Atticus was more than happy to play along. The bond these two share is not one that will be easy to leave behind. Which will make his portrait collection all the more special.

Liam is a year round wrestler and just loves the sport. He loves the endorphin rush that he gets from practice! I was so intrigued by this--practice! Yes, you read that right! That's where Liam gets most pumped! He does love game day too though! The mental chant of 'attack, attack, attack' he has rolling in his head leads him to the mat in beast mode!

Liam has wrestled all 4 years of high school and is serious about his commitment to grow himself physically and mentally. He's in the gym, he attends Young Life to grow his spiritual resilience and he takes his academics very seriously as well.

At the time of his session, Liam has already been accepted to University of Maryland which is a huge accomplishment. He shrugged it off and was just very hopeful for Coast Guard Academy. We took a gamble and created a very quick segment with a nod to his hopeful acceptance. Well, the gamble paid off and Liam found out last week he has been accepted!!! The Coast Guard has gotten a good one in Liam. His commitment to excellence, his thoroughness, his love of order and structure will all serve him and the Coast Guard so well!
