This week’s installment on our portrait blog features Camille, a Glenelg Country School high school senior who is ready to graduate in just a few weeks! Camille came ready to create with her puppy Coco, an adorable Poochon.
Camille brought several outfits that our hair and make up stylist Jill recognized right away! As soon as the pieces came out I was just as thrilled knowing we’d create cool editorial style senior portraits for her. Akira‘s pieces are fire!
Camille is in the Chinese National Honor Society and jokes that she is 100% Asian Persuasion! She toured through Korea and Japan last summer reveling in Asian culture and especially the food. More recently she has returned from a 12 day trip in China that has further deepened her love for Asian Culture.
Camille’s a serious gamer and Resident Evil is the game that makes her eyes light up! Costuming didn’t work out for that, but the next best option of a Dead Pool outfit worked out awesome to celebrate her love of this alternate universe.
Camille is a big fan of Bridgerton and was excited to see some of our dress options in the studio closet could help her embrace her love for this series. She was embracing her inner Daphne!
Camille’s little Poochon Coco loves to be with her girl! She snuck her way into a lot of set ups and Camille was more than happy to oblige. When Camille was just 5 years old her family got their first Poochon, Petie, who sadly passed away 2 years ago after a fall.
Camille will be attending American University this fall to study international affairs with a Chinese minor. Ultimately she’d like to work for the FBI or the CIA!
Camille is a still waters run deep kind of girl. She’s thoughtful and pours her heart out on the page via her love for creating art. Her drawings were beautiful and full of an introspective look at humanity. It was not just sketches of people, but what resonated from the people, that jumped off the pages to me.
Camille closed her senior portrait time with an editorial block of portraits that are always a blast to create!
Peace out Camille! I wish you all the best as you prepare to leap into this next phase at American University! You are going to make such a fine addition to this upcoming class of students! May you get many more trips to East in your future!
