Senior Portraits Athlete Connor
By: Jennifer DiDio
JDP senior Connor's mom knew just where she was going for Connor's portrait creation. His older brother Dillon was here just a few years ago. Connor is following in his big brother's footsteps and joining the Police Academy just as soon as he meets the age requirement. (rest of blog story is told at the bottom as we figure out our new platform w/our new website).
Connor's an avid lacrosse and football player. He first hit the fields at 4 years old and just never looked back! He's made some of his best memories being coached by his dad over much of his life. He plays in the country's premier lacrosse club team, Team 91. It's comprised of the best players across each 91 region: Long Island, Tristate, Colorado, Carolina, New Jersey, Texas, and Maryland. Team 91's brought together the best of the best and competes in the most competitive events across the country.
Connor's a versatile player who carries a team player mentality, to his coach's delight. He's happy to go where he's needed and bring his all to the game. As a football player, he's played running back, linebacker, and corner. His lightening speed, combined with his comparatively smaller build, means he moves in and out of plays with precision.
Connor's toughness is an asset to every team he's been on. One game in particular, he scored, as a defensive player, with a broken arm!!! He's been recruited to play D1 lacrosse but he's answering the call to be a police officer, along with a few of his buddies.
Connor's going to miss the game after this year, but takes with him the memories of making it to the Super Bowl in 2021 against Damascus. While Damascus prevailed in the Super Bowl, Westminster Wildcats handed them their first in season loss in 7 years earlier that season!!! I can just see the mischievous grin on his face as he regales his future grandchildren with the story of that game one day! I can see them with wide eyes and giggling at his hilarious telling! Thank you for choosing to defend and protect us with your future role in the police force Connor!
