Adam is celebrating a huge milestone! He just graduated from Catholic University with a bio-medical engineering degree! I met Adam several years ago to create his high school senior portraits and his mom was ready for the next chapter to be marked.
Adam is the oldest of 6 children and takes his responsibilities of leading his siblings very seriously. Adam is the guy you want on your football team, your fix-it team and your creative endeavor team. Beyond his own family, in his larger extended family, Adam's the one everyone calls when repairs, installations, or figuring out needs done. He's affectionally called the Mr. Belvedere of the family.
Adam doesn't run from the responsibilities of being part of a large family. He embraces them and has even suggested his mom and dad should have more children!
When we planned Adam's portrait time I learned he had gotten very into 3D printing in the last few years. He hopes to use his design skills eventually to help assist athletes with injury recovery and even prosthetic construction. For fun though, his 3D printing involves creating co-play costuming.
The Willy Wonka costume we photographed Adam in is a visual feast of color for the eyes. I asked him how his Willy Wonka costume came about. A friend was throwing a Halloween costume party and Adam wanted to wear a costume that was original and out there! Check!
During Covid, Adam embraced the 3D printing for cosplay costuming pieces. It wasn't long before he was gifting pieces to his family. Adam's heart is big and as he prepares for next steps, we are cheering him on! That may be a Master's degree to continue his training to work with rehabilitating athletes. Whatever path he's on, it's sure to be a blessing to so many!
